How we travel
A look at the kinds of trips we plan, how we plan them, and why so many of our travelers come back.
What we plan
Every trip we design is fully custom. But most of the trips we plan fall into one of three shapes — three different ways of slowing down, going deeper, and coming home changed.
01. Slow Journeys
Long stays in fewer places. A villa in Tuscany. Two weeks in Provence. A slow loop through southern Spain. A month in Japan. The trips where pace is the point — where you wake up somewhere beautiful, stay long enough to feel local, and let the days breathe.
These are often the trips travelers tell us they always meant to take — the European summer, the Mediterranean spring, the year they finally went somewhere for more than a week. We design them to feel less like itineraries and more like time itself slowing down.

02. Far Journeys
Deeper, further, and a little outside what you’d plan on your own. Botswana. Patagonia. The rainforests of Borneo. The temples of Bhutan. A corner of Italy you’d never have found alone.
These trips reward planning. The right camp, the right guide, the right time of year — the difference between a Far Journey done well and one done casually is enormous. We bring our network of on-the-ground partners, decades of collective experience, and an obsessive attention to detail to every one.

03. Family Journeys
Multi-generational trips, milestone celebrations, the once-in-a-decade gatherings. We design family travel that bridges ages, paces, and interests — so everyone, from grandparents to grandkids, comes home with a story they’ll keep telling.
These trips ask more of us as planners. Different pace needs, different food preferences, different mobility levels, and different ideas of “relaxing.” We thrive on it. Some of the most meaningful work we do is helping a family build memories together that none of them could have made alone.

How we work
We planned our own trips for years before we understood what a great advisor actually does. So we want to make this part transparent — here’s exactly what working with us looks like.
And alongside our custom trip design, we also book luxury cruises and curated small-group journeys with the world's best operators — the kind of trips where the right ship or the right group makes all the difference.

01. Discover
We start with a conversation — no commitment, no fee. This isn’t about logistics yet. It’s about you. How do you want to feel on this trip? What does a great day look like? What memories do you want to come home with? The more we understand what moves you, the better everything that follows will be. We’ll also walk through how we’ll work together from here, and review the Corrado Travel design fees.

02. design
We build a draft itinerary tailored to what we learned in Discovery — never from a template, never from a catalog. We bring in our team and our on-the-ground partners so the plan reflects real, current expertise: who’s guiding now, where the hidden gems are, what to skip.

03. refine
We adjust together. Pacing, properties, experiences — whatever needs tuning until the trip feels exactly right. Once it does, we handle every booking and logistic.

04. prepare
In the weeks before you leave, we quietly orchestrate the details — visas, packing notes, currency, anything destination-specific. Before departure, we’ll connect once more so you leave home feeling ready, not anxious.

05. travel
This is the part you’ve been waiting for. And because even the best-planned trips evolve in real time, we stay close throughout. A flight delay, a plan to adjust, a restaurant recommendation in a city you’ve never been — we’re a message away.

06. reflect
When you’re home, we want to hear about it. What surprised you. What stayed with you. What you’d do differently. Every trip teaches us more about how you travel — and the next one becomes more personal because of it.
What we offer
Every trip we plan is fully custom — so this isn’t a menu. It’s a starting point. If what you want isn’t here, ask. Chances are, we can build it.

Custom trip design
This is the core of what we do. A fully bespoke itinerary, designed around how you want to feel and what you want to come home with. Family travel, honeymoons and milestone anniversaries, multigenerational trips, adventure travel, slow-immersive trips, wellness escapes, around-the-world journeys — if you can dream it, we can plan it. Every detail handled, every booking made, every curveball ours to manage so it never has to be yours.

Multi-year travel planning
Some of our favorite work happens over years, not weeks. We sit down with you and map out the next three to five years of travel for your family — bucket list trips, milestone celebrations, the places you want your kids to see before they leave home. Planning ahead means better access, smarter pricing, and no scramble when life gets busy. It also means we get to know you well enough that every trip we plan feels more personal than the last.

Surprise trips
There’s almost nothing we love more than helping someone surprise the person they love most. A milestone birthday, an anniversary, a long-overdue retirement gift, a “we made it through” moment — we’ve planned them all, and we know how to keep a secret. Surprise trips take more coordination behind the scenes, so they carry a slightly higher design fee. It's worth every penny when you get to see their face at the airport.

Hotel bookings
Already know where you want to stay? Book the hotel through us, and we’ll layer in Virtuoso and partner perks at no additional cost — typically room upgrades when available, complimentary breakfast, resort credits, and VIP recognition with the property. You get the same room you would have booked yourself, plus extras we can negotiate that you can’t.
If you’d like our recommendations on where to stay, we offer a hotel research package for a flat fee — a tailored shortlist of three to four properties matched to your style, with our honest take on each.

Corporate & incentive travel
We work with founders and companies to design incentive trips, leadership offsites, and reward travel that actually moves people. The best incentive trips aren’t just expensive — they’re meaningful. We bring the same care to corporate work that we bring to family travel, and we partner with our broader team for groups of any size.

À la carte support
If you’re a confident planner who just wants the perks, we can help with individual hotel, air, or cruise bookings at a reduced fee. You stay in the driver’s seat. We make sure you’re treated like a VIP when you arrive.

Travel protection
We strongly recommend travel insurance for every meaningful trip — especially anything involving long-haul flights, remote destinations, or significant deposits. We help you choose the right coverage based on the trip, the travelers, and the risk profile. There’s no fee for this service when your trip is planned with us.
why hire us?

You can plan a trip on your own. You can spend the weekends, read the reviews, build the spreadsheet, and second-guess every decision. Most people do. And most people come home with a perfectly fine trip — and the quiet sense that it could have been more.
We exist to close that gap.
We work closely with you to understand not just where you want to go, but how you want to feel when you get there. Then we design a trip around that — drawing on decades of collective experience and a global network of vetted, on-the-ground partners who actually know the places they show you. The hidden corner of the lodge. The guide who’ll change how you see a country. The detour that becomes the story you tell for years.
What we offer isn’t a service. It’s a relationship.
We listen. We push back when we think something else will move you more. We handle the details — every visa, every transfer, every curveball — so you don’t have to. And we stay close before, during, and after the trip, because the work doesn’t end when you board the plane.
Your time is the most valuable thing you’ll ever spend on travel. Our job is to make sure you spend it well.
After all — you can’t truly VIP yourself.

“You can’t truly VIP yourself.”
